Home robot drive train including caster, motor, wheel, hubcap, and related mechanisms on Astro.
The patent covers how a home robot gets around: motor-driven main wheels that steer and drive, hubs protected by covers that snap out for easy replacement, and a low-profile caster assembly whose wheel can be swapped in the field. Small details, but they decide whether a robot survives years of real homes.

Serviceability and replaceable parts for AI wearables.
Filed September 2025, published March 2026. The application covers keeping smart glasses serviceable: a battery housed in the temple arm behind a removable cover, sealed against moisture and debris. Wearables live on people's faces, in weather and sweat and pockets. Designing them to be opened, serviced, and resealed is what makes them products rather than disposables.
